For those of you who remember, the launch of HTC Touch was a revolution of sorts. For the first time we were seeing a mobile phone that could actually be small! And it was incredibly exciting to hold a phone in your hand that seemed almost too thin to be true. Now to even further improve this model, we have HTC Touch 3G that comes with 3 G technology.

Some New Features

The new HTC Touch 3G looks pretty similar to HTC Touch dual but it manages to look more elegant. This could be because it is smaller, that is, shorter and thinner. The design is nothing in-your-face, it's very subtle. It has a black front, which comes with a gray border along the screen; the back is also black and through the center runs a silver-colored band.

Touch 3G not only has 3G and WiFi, but also the brand new and improved HTC TouchFLO technology. It comes also with a Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, microSD, 3.2 megapixel camera amongst many other things.

Some might feel that though HSDPA is available, there is no facility for making video calls and this could be a disadvantage. But considering that most of the people do not use this facility, even if it is available on the phone, it not a big minus. The rapid data connection makes up for these minor hiccups more than well.

Exciting features of HTC TouchFLO include an Opera browser, YouTube player, GPS supported by Google maps and also one RSS hub. You can enjoy music, pictures, weather forecast and a host of media.

It has a great looking, crisp screen. The 2.8-inch screen might not be up to Touch Diamond level, but there is no reason to complain. Unlike Touch Diamond, Touch 3G does not have an FM radio or 3D Graphics accelerator or tilt sensor etc but Touch 3G more than makes up for it by giving you a lighter phone with GPS, Opera Browser, 3.2 megapixel and all the other points mentioned before.

Exciting Exterior

The phone is smooth and pebble-shaped. The back is cushioned and makes the phone very comfy to hold. The phone comes with appropriate warnings on the front to prevent mishaps. Behind the phone is the camera- with 3.2 megapixels. As there is no plastic cover, the camera takes better, clearer pictures. The battery cover comes with the speaker too.

The power button on top is smaller than usual but can be located easily. Earpiece outlet and LED with stylus are seen on top. The volume control on the left side looks different and attractive. At the bottom you have the microphone, miniUSB port and the main controls.

With better looks and better speed, the HTC Touch 3G is a lot better than the other phones that have come from the same stable. The camera is almost perfect. It does lack some of Touch Diamonds features but it has great new features of its own. All in all, this phone is any user's delight.
